1.at a time

idiom. separately(單獨地) in the specified groups(一次)。示例：

(1) I can only do one thing at a tim(我一次只能做一件事)。

(2)We carried the boxes two at a time up the stairs(我們一次抬兩個箱子上樓)。

(3)he took the stairs two at a time(他一步跨兩級樓梯)。

2.at the same time & at once

idiom. happing simultaneously(同時)，有時和at once 交替使用。示例：

(1)Answer the telephone and try to pick up a pencil and notepad at the same time(接電話，同時拿起鉛筆和記事本)。

(2)Three projects are happening at the same time, so we're busy(這三個項目同時開始，所以我們很忙)。

在涉及 parallelism 和 concurrency 時，經常會用到at a time 和 at the same time( at once)這兩個詞，我以前經常不理解 at a time這個詞，這里記錄一下, at a time就表示“一次”，at the same time表示“同時”。。
